About BritaMy journey to wellbeing began in 1983 through learning meditation (™). In my early 20’s I was full of energy, a hunger to learn more about myself; the body and mind I inhabit.
I became an aerobics instructor and fitness trainer at a time when Jane Fonda was still in leggings and we moved the sound of Madonna singing ‘Vogue’. These were fun times, although I always felt there was more to health than just taking care of the physical body. Whilst funk and reggae beat through, classes ended with a slow relaxation, emphasising positive thinking and energy awareness. I was passionate about letting people bring their whole self to the floor, and it worked! I studied Shiatsu, Holistic Massage, healing and spirituality and gained experience from many teachers and practices. I have travelled and lived life to the full, first to the USA then Mexico, finally returning to the UK in 2007. In 2012 I trained as a Yoga Teacher, my lifelong dream. Madurai, Tamil Nadu, southern India (Sivananda Vedanta Yoga) where I studied Classical Hatha Yoga. I now combine principles of Yoga with holistic bodywork and self healing into my practice (1-1 sessions and classes). Brita is a Yoga Alliance Certified Teacher

More recently I've been developing Wellbeing@Work specialising in the relaxation response, stress well tools, self care and holistic wellbeing. This is especially needed now as we move into news ways of living and working.
Wellbeing@Work customised workshops address how to stress well, enhance working life and find balance in our busy world. They offer simple everyday tools to affect mental and physical well being, help people feel more effective in the workplace and create healthier, happier working environments. The sessions are interactive to encourage openness and forge supportive relationships, promoting a caring and compassionate culture. |
